I was finishing up my “clean-up” layer, and was about to start inking. Then I took a look at what I had, and liked the sketchy energy of it. I was reminded of the sketchy quality of some of my earlier comics, and thought I’d leave this one a bit “rough” to see how ti compared to those earlier comics.
This procedure actually encouraged me to keep the coloring on the background extremely simple. The result is a comic that, I think, reads particularly well despite some complex composition and staging in panels 2 and 3.

With the school budgets the way they are lately, things are headed back that way…
Interesting to see Kasia back again. Also some continuity in the storyline.
