Is the old lady trying to wear down the border guards, and gain entry to Poland? or is she just bored? I’ve had the idea to do a comic like this for a while. I dunno, I kind of like that old babushka.
The art’s a bit different here for a couple reasons. I recycled the backgrounds because I wanted to focus on getting the hang of Manga Studio. You can actually see the inking of the characters get more and more confident, panel by panel, as I get the feel for the pen tool. The characters aren’t colored very consistently, but I think it will be a while before I settle on a workflow and a style in Manga Studio. It’ll be worth it though, because the tools in the program are literally perfect for the kind of work I want to do.
I also like that babushka badger. I also like Rudek. He seems to be the only one with any kind of sense and perspective here.
